membership

Members are categorized into active, affliate and honorary:

  1. Active member: He is the member who has participated in founding the association since its inception or applied to join the association and got accepted by Board of Directors. He has the right to attend the General Assembly and run for board membership.
  1. Affiliate member: He is the member who does not meet all the requirements for full membership, and the Board of Directors decides to accept him as an affiliate member. The affiliate member has all the rights and duties of the active member, without the right to attend the General Assembly, and to be nominated for membership in the Board of Directors.
  1. Honorary member: He has provided great services to the association, whether material or moral, but has no right to be run for membership in the Board of Directors or to attend the General Assembly.
  • The annual subscription fee for a member (worker / associate / honorary) is 120 Egyptian pounds. In all cases, the annual subscription must be paid before the end of the fiscal year.
  • If one of the members joins the association during the fiscal year, he should only pay a fee of the remaining period till the end of the year.

Membership is cancelled in case of:

  1. Resignation or withdrawal from the association, and the member must notify the association of that by a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, and this does not prejudice the right of the association in its requirements of what is due to him or his money.
  1. Death.
  1. If he loses one of the membership conditions.
  1. Exclusion or removal from membership of the association:
  • If an act is committed that may cause serious physical or moral damage to the association.
  • If he used his membership for a personal purpose.
  • If the payment of the subscription passed its due date for a period of three months, considering that he is notified of his entitlement by registered letter within the four months following the due date.

The loss of membership shall be by a decision the Board of Directors that includes a statement in the name of the member, the reason for the membership’s cancellation, and the date to which the membership’s loss is due.

And, whoever has lost his membership must be notified within fifteen days starting from the date of issuance of the decision to cancel his membership, by a registered letter attached to it a copy of the aforementioned Board of Directors decision.

Membership may be given back to members who were withdrawn from the association due to non-payment of subscription if they paid the amounts due from them.

It is not permissible for a member, or whoever has lost his membership for any reason, nor is it permissible for the deceased member to retrieve the membership fee, subscriptions, gifts or donations that he paid to the association and has no right to the association’s funds.
